Base pay range

CA$21.00/hr - CA$25.00/hr

Job Description

Who We Are:

Closets by Design is a nationally recognized leader in home organizing systems. We design, manufacture, and install a complete line of custom closets, home office furniture, media systems, wall-beds, garage cabinetry, and more. We seek motivated, organized, and caring individuals passionate about craftsmanship and customer service.

To support our growth, we are looking for an energetic and self-motivated individual to join our Operations team as a Production Lead Hand. This position may lead to a Production Supervisor role as the company continues to expand.

What You Bring:

• A positive attitude
• At least 3 years relevant experience in the melamine/woodworking industry, including lead hand experience (preferred)
• Experience with CNC and woodworking machinery (preferred)
• Ability to work in a deadline-driven environment
• Result-oriented with skills in delegation, problem-solving, planning, and process management
• Ability to maintain speed and accuracy against targets
• Leadership qualities and good communication skills
• Health and safety knowledge (preferred)
• Flexibility to work hours overlapping shifts

Responsibilities:

• Support the Production Manager in meeting production requirements
• Supervise daily activities of production staff, ensuring efficiency, quality, and timely delivery
• Coordinate preventive maintenance with the production manager
• Maintain a safe, healthy, and team-oriented work environment
• Ensure production plans and targets are understood and met
• Follow all Quality System policies and procedures
• Assess and address training needs of team members
• Enforce company policies
• Perform other duties as assigned by the production manager
