Kaycan Canada has an exciting career opportunity for a production supervisor based in Acton to join our Production team. This is a great chance to join a Top Employer and contribute to our growth and success.

What’s the job?

This position is located at our unionized vinyl siding plant which operates 24/7. The Production Supervisor works a 12hr shift on a continental shifts: 3-2-2-3 – rotating from days to nights.

Reporting to the Production Manager, the Production Supervisor is responsible for creating a culture of engagement within and between the plant teams to directly impact and meet plant objectives and deliverables. This position is also accountable for ensuring that production teams work collaboratively in decision-making processes, aligning with plant goals, KPIs, safety standards, and HR guidelines. The Production Supervisor is responsible for all activities at the site and acts as the primary contact during off-hours and weekends in the absence of plant management.

Key responsibilities include:

1. Shift performance reporting as required
2. Communicating with other Production Supervisors during shift changeovers
3. Accurate and timely recording of production data via PPMS and SAP
4. Coaching and mentoring Production Associates to influence behaviors and meet objectives
5. Managing performance of Production Associates to achieve targets in EHS, Quality, and Production
6. Evaluating workplace safety concerns and ensuring behavioral safety initiatives are implemented
7. Leading drywall production in coordination with other departments to meet shipment schedules
8. Ensuring product specifications and quality standards are met
