How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?

The main object and purpose of this position consist in coordinating, supervising and analyzing all of the production operations and maintenance activities. Must be able to respond effectively to customer demand managing quality of products inclusive of quality control based on the GMP (Good Manufacturing Process) for all medical filling operations where applicable. All of these activities must respect the action plan, deadlines, operating procedures and safety and health standards while ensuring the coaching and development of the team.

Afternoon Shift: Sunday - Thursday. Noon to 8:30 pm

Plans daily production activities: Establishes the daily production action plan and makes the necessary modifications to it while driving the efficiency of operations. Establishes production standards and controls quality in cooperation with the plant manager. Assesses the priority of customer orders. Establishes and tracks performance indicators.

Analyzes production follow-up: Reviews and analyzes production reports, maintenance and quality reports in order to determine the causes of non-compliance with product specifications and all operating or production problems. Determines the actions to be taken to improve operations.

Controls operations: Leads team to ensure operating procedures, safety and quality plans are respected and followed. Coordinates any administrative report with the corresponding operation. Coordinates investigations regarding accidents and related activities.

Ensures coaching and team development: Provides training and coaching for the members of the team to ensure that objectives are attained. Develops technical training plans for the group concerned and sees that they are implemented. Conducts performance reviews of the team members and gives them feedback.

Communicates internally: Knows how to deal with the employees effectively so as to ensure optimal operations, giving priority to the requirements and expectations of the customers. Is attentive to the needs and concerns of other members of the team and related departments. Transmits the information and communicates to ensure that experience is shared. Makes his knowledge and know-how available.

Ensures technical process improvement: Leads his team and multi-functional teams drive continuous improvement in work processes. Analyzes his activities, identifies causes of problems and proposes adapted corrective measures.

Safety / Quality: Leads team by improving and promoting occupational health and safety principles. Encourages safe behavior. Knows and respects all of the procedures provided in the ALMS (Air Liquide Management System). Knows and looks at the application of the IMS Program. Implements adequate corrective and preventive measures following customer claims.

Are you a MATCH?
  • Diploma: Post-secondary school diploma or B.A. and/or combination of studies and experience.

  • Training: Quality system (ISO), safety.

  • Knowledge: Mechanical equipment, dangerous materials regulations, WHMIS, safety rules and procedures, computerized systems, Google Applications.

  • 4 to 10 years’ pertinent experience.
