Job summary

Agropur in Quebec is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead production teams, oversee processes from milk receiving to shipping, and ensure quality and safety standards are met.

You will report to the Production and Maintenance Manager and coordinate activities to meet deadlines while sustaining continuous improvement. French knowledge is required for Quebec positions; company values engagement and initiative.

Qualifications

• College diploma or university degree in a relevant field.
• Minimum of 3 years of personnel supervision experience.
• Experience working in a unionized environment.
• Experience in the food manufacturing industry is an asset.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Lean Six Sigma certification is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Report to the Production and Maintenance Manager; supervise production teams and oversee manufacturing processes.
• Coordinate manufacturing activities through to shipping (milk receiving and processing, production, packaging, aging, shipping).
• Ensure operational continuity, adherence to production plans and product quality standards.
• Coordinate workforce requirements and manage materials and cleaning products.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, quality, sanitation, and environmental programs.
• Maintain compliance with collective agreement and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
• Lead, engage, develop, and train team members; empower employees to participate in decisions.

'What you'll be responsible for each day:'

• Reporting to the Production and Maintenance Manager , the Production Supervisor manages production teams, oversees manufacturing processes, and ensures smooth operational performance.
• Coordinate manufacturing activities through to shipping (milk receiving and processing, production, packaging, aging, and shipping) while ensuring delivery deadlines are met;
• Ensure operational continuity, adherence to production plans, and product quality standards;
• Coordinate workforce requirements;
• Ensure proper management and efficient use of raw materials, ingredients, and cleaning products;
• Ensure compliance with and follow-up on health and safety programs;
• Maintain compliance with quality, sanitation, and food safety requirements;
• Support and maintain environmental program initiatives;
• Supervise and monitor sanitary maintenance of equipment;
• Ensure the collective agreement is properly applied;
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives;
• Lead, engage, develop, and train team members;
• Empower employees and involve them in decision-making.
