Job summary

Truenorth Executive Search, Inc. is seeking a Production Supervisor to oversee operations, production floor, quality, and safety while maximizing profit and efficiency at the Newmarket facility.

The role requires strong leadership across multiple departments and a focus on continuous improvement. Responsibilities include managing scheduling, walking the floor, implementing corrective actions, and reporting production metrics.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in production/assembly with 5+ years in production management across multiple departments.
• Experience setting up new lines or departments strongly desired.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication abilities with technical background.

Responsibilities

• Manage operations, production, quality, and shipping to ensure on-time delivery.
• Promote company culture of respect, empowerment, excellence.
• Schedule, walk the floor, monitor status of all functions.
• Troubleshoot production and maintenance issues and implement contingency plans.
• Lead process improvements across departments with management team.
• Report daily/weekly production and shipping metrics and explain variances.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

The Production Supervisor has responsibility for managing the operations, production floor, quality, and health & safety while maximizing profit and efficiency for the facility.

Key Duties:

• Manage all operations, production, quality, and shipping departments to ensure timely delivery of product to customers.
• Ensure that company culture of respect, empowerment, excellence is promoted and adhered to
• Manages scheduling and walks the floor and keep current on the status of all functions.
• Taking corrective action to streamline and improve current processes.
• Gain a strong understanding of the production process flow for product lines.
• Troubleshoot production and maintenance issues and enact contingency plans as needed.
• Work with the management team to implement process improvements in all departments.
• Reporting daily/weekly metrics of production and shipments along with reason for variances.
• Other duties as assigned.

Abilities / Background

• 10+ years of experience in a production and assembly environment with at least 5+ years of production management experience with multiple departments.
• Experience setting up new lines or departments strongly desired
• Strong leadership, vision, organizational and communication abilities as well as technical and mechanical background
• Strong attention to planning and detail.
