Job summary

ABL Direct, located in York Region, Canada, is seeking a Production Supervisor to join their growing injection molding team. This role involves overseeing daily workflow, ensuring safety, and managing a team of over 30 employees. The ideal candidate will have experience in 5S and Lean Manufacturing, and proficiency in MS Dynamics and Excel.

Compensation includes a base salary of $75,000 to $85,000, benefits upon start, RRSP matching after three months, and quarterly bonuses.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of experience as a Production Supervisor focused on workflow management.
• Strong leadership skills for training and developing a team.
• Safety-minded with experience in 5S and Lean Manufacturing practices.

About the Role

Our client is a growing injection molding company within the packaging industry. This position is an addition to their team, signifying their continued growth.

Shift schedule: 7 am – 7 pm and 7 pm – 7 am with a 2‑week rotation. Immediate vacancy.

Compensation and benefits: $75,000 to $85,000 base salary with benefits upon start; RRSP match after three‑month probation; quarterly bonus after three‑month probation; team events and outings.

Experience and Qualifications

• 2 to 3 years Production Supervisor experience focused on daily workflow based on production needs
• Strong ability to train, lead, and develop a team of 30+ employees
• Safety‑minded with a preventative mindset
• Experience in 5S and Lean Manufacturing
• Counterbalance forklift and crane experience an asset
• Proficiency with MS Dynamics and Excel

Responsibilities

• Monitor the smooth and timely flow of production to ensure a quality product is delivered to the customer
• Maintain a high level of plant, machine, and personnel safety under GMP and SOP guidelines
• Manage, train, and develop a productive, efficient, and competent molding production team to achieve scheduled requirements in a safe, team‑based environment
• Establish and ensure the achievement of performance targets
• Report and communicate results, incidents, and issues in a concise and timely manner
• Lead operations in continuous improvement initiatives, such as 5S and Lean Manufacturing
• Follow and comply with the proprietary management system
