Job summary

Join Cascades in Scarborough as a Production Supervisor on the night shift, leading a team of 10–15 hourly staff to ensure safe operations, hit production targets, and uphold quality standards. You’ll develop employees, drive continuous improvement, and collaborate with cross-functional teams across shifts.

The role emphasizes strong safety leadership, coaching, and accountability, with two production lines and a focus on operational efficiency to satisfy customers and support Cascades'

Qualifications

  • At least 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • A minimum of 2 years of supervisory or people leadership experience.
  • Demonstrated commitment to workplace health and safety and the ability to promote a safety-first culture.
  • Strong coaching, communication, conflict management, decision-making, and accountability skills.
  • Ability to develop, support, and motivate employees while driving operational results.
  • Experience managing production targets, operational priorities, and day-to-day manufacturing activities.
  • Packaging, paper, or corrugated manufacturing experience is an asset.
  • Experience with Continuous Improvement, Lean Manufacturing, JHSC participation, SAP, or AMTECH are considered an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee production activities across two production lines to ensure operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • Monitor production performance, quality, productivity, and efficiency while implementing corrective actions when needed.
  • Support employee training, performance management, attendance management, and ongoing development initiatives.
  • Collaborate with production, shipping, maintenance, and leadership teams to ensure seamless communication and operations across shifts.
  • Complete production reporting and administrative activities while supporting continuous improvement initiatives and plant objectives.

Your Role:

As aProduction Supervisor, you’ll lead a team of 10 to 15 hourly employees on the night shift, ensuring safe operations, achieving production targets, maintaining quality standards, and developing employees.
