Job summary

Cascades in Scarborough is seeking a Finance and Administration Technician to bring accuracy and organization to our financial operations. In a people-first environment, you’ll reconcile accounts, manage supplier invoices, and support the local management team.

You will enter transactions in our accounting systems, verify data integrity, and collaborate with stakeholders to keep day-to-day financial activities running smoothly.

Qualifications

  • Accounting diploma/associate degree or equivalent education in finance or accounting.
  • 2–3 years of experience in accounting or administrative support.
  • Experience managing accounts payable and supplier accounts.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Familiarity with SAP or similar ERP is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Perform account reconciliations and ensure financial data accuracy.
  • Manage supplier accounts and accounts payable activities.
  • Enter transactions into accounting systems and maintain records.
  • Verify completeness and integrity of financial information.
  • Provide administrative support to local management.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to support day-to-day financial operations.
  • Contribute to process improvements and maintain efficient practices.

Your Role

Finance and Administration Technician, you’ll take on real challenges that bring out your full potential. Your scope includes:

  • Perform account reconciliations and ensure financial data accuracy
  • Manage supplier accounts and accounts payable activities
  • Enter transactions into accounting systems and maintain accurate records
  • Verify the completeness and integrity of financial information in company systems
  • Provide administrative support to the local management team
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to support day-to-day financial operations
  • Contribute to process improvements and help maintain efficient administrative and accounting practices
What you bring
  • An Accounting Diploma, Associate Degree, or equivalent education in accounting or finance
  • 2 to 3 years of relevant experience in accounting or administrative support functions
  • Experience managing accounts payable and supplier accounts
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Excellent computer literacy and comfort working with various software systems
  • Familiarity with SAP or similar ERP platforms is considered an asset
  • A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with strong autonomy, enthusiasm, and collaboration skills
