Shift Timing- Afternoon - 5 pm to 1:30 am

About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and hands‑on Production Supervisor to lead daily manufacturing operations in a fast‑paced production environment. This role is responsible for driving safety, quality, productivity, and continuous improvement initiatives while leading and developing a diverse team of production employees.

The ideal candidate is a strong people leader with manufacturing supervisory experience, a passion for Lean Manufacturing, and the ability to motivate teams to achieve operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide results‑oriented leadership and drive continuous improvement through Lean Manufacturing principles.
  • Ensure a safe working environment and enforce all health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Schedule and coordinate daily production activities to meet customer demand and operational targets.
  • Monitor productivity, quality, and performance metrics and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Communicate daily updates regarding safety, quality, production, staffing, and operational issues to management.
  • Ensure employees follow standard operating procedures and established production standards.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop team members to achieve individual and team objectives.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback to direct reports.
  • Support employee training and development plans to address skill gaps.
  • Participate in recruitment, onboarding, and retention initiatives.
  • Lead employee relations activities, including performance management and disciplinary processes when required.
  • Promote and maintain 5S standards and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Assist with Job Task Analysis (JTA), hazard identification, and risk reduction initiatives.
  • Investigate and respond to non‑conformance reports (NCRs) and production discrepancies.
  • Lead or support plant improvement projects and other initiatives assigned by the Plant Manager.
Qualifications
  • 5–8 years of supervisory experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • Post‑secondary education in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field is considered an asset.
  • Strong leadership, decision‑making, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive working relationships.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, and 5S methodologies.
  • Mechanical aptitude and understanding of manufacturing processes.
  • Comfortable working in a multicultural and team‑oriented environment.
  • Proficient with computer systems and Microsoft Office applications.
