Job description

Full-time permanent position, with rotating shifts including nights and weekends.

Compensation is commensurate with experience.

Food manufacturing experience is required; dairy processing experience is an asset.

We’re Canada Royal Milk, an advanced manufacturing company that will be the sole producer of baby formula in Canada. Our new plant is entering commercial production, and we are seeking experienced leaders ready to advance their careers. Your tasks will include:

1. Providing leadership and supervision to staff, including work direction, performance feedback, and training recommendations.
2. Promoting a positive work environment, improving team culture, and encouraging employee involvement.
3. Troubleshooting processes in milk receiving, processing, pre-treatment, evaporation, and drying, guiding operators to resolve malfunctions for efficient plant operation.
4. Planning and implementing sanitary and mechanical maintenance and preventive maintenance schedules.
5. Following and administering quality policies and procedures, including food safety, HACCP, POGS, traceability, and investigation of production holds.

Qualifications include:

• Demonstrated leadership and supervisory experience with the ability to influence and engage employees.
• Technical experience in processing and packaging within food manufacturing.
• Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Experience in dairy processing is preferred.
• Knowledge of HACCP and food safety regulations, including traceability and production investigations.
• Certification or experience in supervisory responsibilities under WSIB, OSHA, and First Aid is an asset.
• Post-secondary education in industrial engineering, automated production engineering, food engineering, or related fields.
