Job summary

Agropur is seeking a Production Supervisor to support the Production team and ensure safety, quality, and productivity targets are met. The role involves coaching staff, enforcing policies, and maintaining strong working relationships on the shop floor.

Your role in achieving results:

• Ensure compliance of health and safety regulations, and theability to implement programs to improve safety culture.
• Responsible for supporting the Production Supervisor in employee relations including work direction of employees, training, performance reviews, administering policies and procedures, and disciplinary action.
• Provide leadership, direction and coaching to the Production team.
• Promote and enhance a positive employee relation atmosphere including efforts to continuously improve teamwork and establish high levels of employee involvement.
• Ensures consistent application of best practices towards product evaluation, food safety and quality to support and maintain Agropur’squality standards.
• Supports the operation of the HACCP team to ensure that the facility and documentation are suitable for third party/customer audits to maintain the SQF/ HACCP status at the plant.
• Monitor and ensure efficiency of plant equipment and resources and ensure production requirements are met on time.
• Responsible for achieving department budgets in the area of labour costs by measuring and improving productivity and processes.
• Exhibit a professional manner in dealing with others and work to maintain constructive working relationships.
• Results driven, bottom-line orientated, strives to exceed goals, and motivates self and others to achieve positive outcomes.
• Demonstrate ability to drive organizational change throughstrong interpersonal and communication skills and formalproblem-solving techniques.
• In the Production Supervisor’s absence, such as vacations or sick time, you will be responsible for assuming the role of Supervisor for your shift.
• Participate in First Aid Training in order to support the shift in First Aid.

What we are looking for to deliver these results:

• Knowledge of quality assurance systems (GMP, HACCP and SQF).
• Knowledge of SAP (an asset).
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and field-specific software.
• Lean Manufacturing/Six Sigma experience is an asset.
• Experience supervising in food or pharma industry would be an asset
• UKG Scheduling experience would be considered an asset.
