Job summary

Agropur is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead a shift and ensure safety, quality, and productivity across the production team. You will coach staff, manage performance, and enforce GMP, HACCP, and SQF standards on a busy production floor.

The role requires strong leadership, manufacturing experience, and familiarity with SAP and MS Office. The shift runs Monday to Friday, 3pm–11pm, with comprehensive benefits and a pathway for growth.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of manufacturing or production experience.
• High School Diploma is required.
• Strong leadership potential and ability to influence teams.
• Mechanical aptitude and basic troubleshooting skills.
• Self-motivated with strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Knowledge of quality assurance systems (GMP, HACCP and SQF).
• Knowledge of SAP is an asset.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and field-specific software.
• Lean Manufacturing/Six Sigma experience is an asset.
• Experience supervising in food or pharma industry is an asset.
• UKG Scheduling experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance of health and safety regulations and implement safety programs.
• Support Production Supervisor in employee relations, training, and performance reviews.
• Provide leadership, direction and coaching to the Production team.
• Promote a positive employee relations atmosphere and improve teamwork.
• Apply best practices for product evaluation, food safety and quality.
• Support HACCP team and audits to maintain SQF/HACCP status.
• Monitor plant equipment and resources to meet production needs.
• Help achieve department labor cost budgets and improve productivity.
• Maintain professional relationships and drive cross-functional collaboration.
• In the supervisor's absence, cover the shift as needed.
• Participate in First Aid Training to support the shift.

Your Role In Achieving Results

• Ensure compliance of health and safety regulations, and the ability to implement programs to improve safety culture.
• Responsible for supporting the Production Supervisor in employee relations including work direction of employees, training, performance reviews, administering policies and procedures, and disciplinary action.
• Provide leadership, direction and coaching to the Production team.
• Promote and enhance a positive employee relation atmosphere including efforts to continuously improve teamwork and establish high levels of employee involvement.
• Ensures consistent application of best practices towards product evaluation, food safety and quality to support and maintain Agropur's quality standards.
• Supports the operation of the HACCP team to ensure that the facility and documentation are suitable for third party/customer audits to maintain the SQF/ HACCP status at the plant.
• Monitor and ensure efficiency of plant equipment and resources and ensure production requirements are met on time.
• Responsible for achieving department budgets in the area of labour costs by measuring and improving productivity and processes.
• Exhibit a professional manner in dealing with others and work to maintain constructive working relationships.
• Results driven, bottom-line orientated, strives to exceed goals, and motivates self and others to achieve positive outcomes.
• Demonstrate ability to drive organizational change through strong interpersonal and communication skills and formal problem-solving techniques.
• In the Production Supervisor's absence, such as vacations or sick time, you will be responsible for assuming the role of Supervisor for your shift.
• Participate in First Aid Training in order to support the shift in First Aid.
