Job summary

AirBoss Rubber Compounding in Kitchener, Ontario seeks a Production Scheduler with 2–5 years of experience to develop and manage production schedules based on orders, forecasts, and inventory. The role requires collaboration with production, quality, maintenance, and supply chain teams to ensure schedule feasibility and timely execution.

Responsibilities include monitoring progress, prioritizing work orders, addressing delays, and maintaining ERP/MRP records while driving continuous improvement

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Business, or a related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in production scheduling, preferably in a manufacturing environment (rubber/plastics experience is an asset).
• Strong understanding of production processes, capacity planning, and inventory control.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems.
• Experience with S&OP process is an asset.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work cross-functionally with various departments.
• Adaptability and ability to respond quickly to changing production demands.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules based on customer orders, forecasts, and inventory levels
• Coordinate with Production, Quality, Maintenance, and Supply Chain teams to ensure schedule feasibility and alignment
• Monitor production progress and adjust schedules as needed to address delays, equipment issues, or material shortages
• Prioritize work orders to meet delivery deadlines and customer requirements
• Analyze capacity constraints and recommend solutions to improve throughput and efficiency
• Ensure raw materials, compounds, and components are available to support planned production
• Track KPIs such as on-time delivery, schedule adherence, and production efficiency
• Communicate schedule changes and updates to relevant stakeholders in a timely manner
• Support continuous improvement initiatives related to production planning and workflow optimization
• Maintain accurate records in ERP/MRP systems
