Job summary

Job description

Role

  • The Production Program Manager is the industrial focal between the IPT & Operations.
  • The PPM is responsible for the continuous improvement of the structural industrial performance (delivery, quality) for the program and accountable for costs for the production scope of work for its programs.
  • As an escalation, the PPM can temporarily become the coordinator of the recovery plan in support of the execution functions.

Responsibilities

  • Industrial focal between the IPT & operations, supported by all functions;
  • Escalate industrial blockers to the IPT where support is needed;
  • Cascade IPT requirements impacting industrial operations;
  • Industrial focal point with the customer as required;
  • Understand, prioritize, and validate design changes impacting manufacturing and operations;
  • Continuously improve industrial performance, manage risks, and develop mitigation plans;
  • Manage transfer risks and recovery plans;
  • Ensure manufacturing and assembly plans adhere to defined rules and protect the program;
  • Propose evolutions to the industrial scheme based on performance and risks;
  • Coordinate with spare parts management and scenario assessments;

Cost Management

  • Participate in budget planning and consolidate costs;
  • Identify and promote cost-saving opportunities;
  • Propose industrial scheme evolutions considering cost impacts;
  • Coordinate recovery plans if needed.

Qualifications and Experience

  • College diploma or university degree in engineering or business administration;
  • Project Management certification (PMP) preferred;
  • At least 3 years in project / program management, especially with external customers;
  • Understanding of engineering principles and aerospace manufacturing experience (2+ years);
  • Bilingualism is an asset.

Skills and Qualities

  • Knowledge of product / process configuration, ERP, and MRPII basics;
  • Strong leadership, communication, and recovery plan skills;
