Job summary

Masterfeeds Inc. in Wingham, Ontario invites you to join as a Production Operator/Pellet Mill. You will operate and monitor feed production lines, weigh ingredients, maintain records, and support plant safety and quality standards.

The role requires basic mechanical and computer skills, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and flexibility to work a day/afternoon/night rotation. A valid driver’s license and English proficiency are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
• Basic mechanical skills and computer literacy.
• Capable of performing physical job duties (up to 50 lbs).
• Able to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions with PPE.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and follow up.
• Understand and communicate in English (verbal/written).
• A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to work day/afternoon/night shift rotation.
• HACCP knowledge/training preferred.

• Maintain mixing records, inventory records and perform routine maintenance on machinery.
• Ship, receive, package and document production and HACCP records.
• Load and unload trucks per plant requirements.
• Troubleshoot minor problems and perform emergency maintenance as needed.
• Maintain a safe and sanitary atmosphere and ensure quality standards.
• Assist plant personnel as needed by leadership.
• Other duties as assigned.

As a Production Operator, the following will be your key responsibilities:

• Operate and monitor production of feed using computerized and controlled systems, including grinders, pellet mill and grain flaking equipment


• Accurately weigh/meter all the ingredients from approved formula


• Maintain mixing records, inventory records and complete routine maintenance on machinery


• Ship, receive, package, clean and document the production and completion of HACCP records


• Load and unload trucks per plant requirements


• Troubleshoot minor problems as needed and perform emergency maintenance tasks to fix the problems


• Maintain a safe and sanitary atmosphere and ensure compliance with quality standards


• Assist plant personnel as needed, and requested by the leadership team


• Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Must be legally eligible to work in Canada


• Basic mechanical skills and computer literacy


• Capable of performing physical job duties (may include lifting up to 50 lbs, bending, kneeling, climbing, crawling and twisting safely)


• Using personal protective equipment (PPE), must be able to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions (may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc.)


• Ability to prioritize tasks and follow up


• Understand and communicate in English (verbal/written)


• A valid driver's license and reliable transportation


• Ability to workday/afternoon/nights shift rotation

Preferred:

• Previous experience in a manufacturing or agricultural setting


• Trained in Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP)


• High school diploma or equivalent
