Canada Packers in Landmark Feed Mill is hiring a Maintenance Technician to lead preventative and unscheduled maintenance on wide-ranging production equipment. Starting wage is $23.00 per hour, with rotating shifts that include weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Legally eligible to work in Canada.
• Excellent mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting.
• Experience with industrial maintenance in automated manufacturing environments.
• Knowledge of PLC and controls is an asset.
• Valid Manitoba Class 5 driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, repair, and overhaul plant production equipment, buildings, and grounds.
• Perform preventive maintenance and implement improvements/modifications.
• Support design, installation, and commissioning of new or modified equipment.
• Keep accurate records of inspections, repairs, and meter readings.
• Schedule and complete preventive maintenance on all machinery and boilers.
• Manage sourcing and inventory control of required parts.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and develop solutions.
• Respond to maintenance issues and alarms on a rotating basis, including weekends and holidays.

Employment Type: Full-time (40 hours/week)

Salary: Starting wage from $23.00 per hour.

Schedule: Rotating shifts that include weekends, holidays, and occasional alarm response.

• Supporting project teams in the design, installation, and commissioning of new or modified equipment
• Keeping accurate records of inspections, repairs, and meter readings
• Scheduling, tracking, and completing preventative maintenance on all machinery and boilers
• Managing sourcing and inventory control of required parts
• Troubleshooting equipment issues and developing solutions independently
• Responding to maintenance issues and alarms on a rotational basis, including weekends and holidays

Skills & Experience:

Applicants must be legally authorized to work in Canada at the time of application. Proof of eligibility may be requested during the recruitment process.

• Excellent mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Practical experience as a maintenance technician in an industrial setting
• Experience with automated manufacturing equipment
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of PLC and controls is an asset
• Licensed Industrial Mechanic (Millwright), Class 4 Power Engineer, or equivalent work experience
• Valid Manitoba Class 5 driver’s license
