Production Operator / Injection Operator performs tasks requiring knowledge of injection processes and is responsible for daily operations of PET and HDPE injection equipment (primarily Husky, and other OEMs).

Essential Functions

• Responsible for preparation, setup, operation, and minor adjustments of injection equipment, with prior approval for mechanical work.
• Complete and update logs and forms related to production and quality.
• Recognize unsafe conditions, follow safety rules, and use PPE as required.
• Perform visual and mechanical quality checks to meet standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in all production areas.
• Identify and handle raw materials appropriately, understanding differences between Vpet, Rpet & HDPE resins.
• Ensure quality standards are met and report defects immediately.
• Work in multiple production areas with minimal supervision and perform relief duties as needed.
• Troubleshoot minor equipment issues and collaborate with maintenance.
• Understand computer systems like Shotscope, Electric80, Ignition, etc.
• Comprehend line flow and manufacturing processes to maximize throughput.
• Communicate issues clearly and maintain regular attendance.
• Work 12-hour shifts, day or night, on a rotating schedule.

Qualifications

• Minimum: 2 years in manufacturing and operating multiple machines.
• Preferred: 4 years in similar environments and managing people/projects.
