Position Overview

The Injection Operator performs a variety of tasks requiring knowledge of injection processes. They are responsible for day-to-day operations of PET and HDPE injection equipment, primarily Husky OEMs.

Essential Functions

1. Prepare, set up, start, and operate injection equipment.
2. Perform minor adjustments to equipment with prior approval.
3. Complete and update logs and forms related to production and quality.
4. Identify unsafe conditions and follow safety protocols, including proper PPE usage.
5. Conduct visual and mechanical quality checks.
6. Maintain cleanliness and organization in production areas.
7. Understand different resins (Vpet, Rpet, HDPE) and identify safe parts for grinding.
8. Ensure quality standards are met and report defects.
9. Work across multiple production areas with minimal supervision.
10. Troubleshoot minor equipment issues and collaborate with maintenance.
11. Utilize computer systems such as Shotscope, Electric80, Ignition.
12. Understand line flow and manufacturing processes to maximize throughput.
13. Communicate issues effectively and maintain regular attendance.
14. Work 12-hour shifts on a rotating schedule (day/night).

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years' experience in manufacturing or related field.
• Experience operating multiple manufacturing machines.
• Experience may include a combination of work and education.

Preferred Qualifications

• 4 years' experience in manufacturing and in a similar role.
• Management experience (people/projects).
