Disney Cruise Line (DCL), a division of The Walt Disney Company, operates a fleet of five premium cruise ships and is a leader in family vacations at sea. DCL Entertainment (Toronto) serves as the rehearsal headquarters for DCL’s theatrical productions, focusing on creating memorable family entertainment with Disney storytelling.

Based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, reporting to the Senior Manager, Entertainment Operations, the Production Manager leads the Toronto Production Team and DCL Casts, overseeing rehearsal processes and functions. The role involves collaborating with HR and Safety leaders on training, strategic planning for rehearsals, training, and production development across the DCL fleet.

Responsibilities
  • Manage team of Production Supervisors and Assistant Production Supervisors, including development, leadership, scheduling, and vacation planning.
  • Support creative and operational decision-making with senior management.
  • Plan fleetwide rehearsal and contract dates.
  • Partner with Revenue Management on technical installs and contract forecasting.
  • Manage cast contract deadlines and coordinate with various teams to meet budget targets.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with HR, shipboard teams, vendors, and other stakeholders.
  • Oversee casting processes and contract management.
  • Conduct team meetings and provide performance feedback.
  • Coordinate cast fittings, performance issues, and policy communication.
  • Participate in leadership team to meet creative and production goals.
  • Ensure safety guidelines are followed and act as a Production Supervisor when needed.
  • Travel may be required for support and audits.
Qualifications
  • 8+ years in entertainment management/production support, cruise experience a plus.
  • Understanding of Disney Character & Theatrical operations.
  • Stage or company management experience preferred.
  • Strong scheduling, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-motivated, team leader, flexible schedule including weekends.
Education
  • Post-secondary education or equivalent in entertainment stage management or related field.
