General Job Description:

Responsible for the mechanical (electronic) aspects of the repair department at TDG. Performs manual repair of products deemed to be non-conforming to product or component requirements.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

• Plan and design plant layouts and facilities
• Study new machinery and facilities and recommend or select efficient combinations
• Develop flexible or integrated manufacturing systems and procedures
• Conduct studies and implement programs to allow optimum utilization of machinery, materials and resources
• Analyze costs of production for continuous improvement
• Design, develop and conduct time studies and work simplification programs
• Determine human resource and skill requirements and develop training programs
• Develop performance standards, evaluation systems and wage and incentive programs
• Conduct studies of the reliability and performance of plant facilities and production or administrative systems
• Develop maintenance standards, schedules and programs
• Evaluate or assess industrial facilities
• Lead Design for Manufacturing reviews
• Design and manufacture of jigs and fixtures
• Update processes based on customer feedback and returns

Work Experience Requirements:

• Five years minimum working in a production environment in Production Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Manufacturing Engineering.
• Shop floor experience with manual and semi-automatic product assembly processes.
• Experience with updating product designs in Solidworks and with Bills of Materials

Educational Requirements

• Mechanical Engineering Degree with a specialization in Manufacturing.
