Job summary

Custom Castings in Winnipeg is seeking a Production Cell Technician to join a fast-paced manufacturing team. You will participate in hands-on training, progress from finishing operations into casting duties, and work with Cell Leaders to meet production goals.

No prior casting experience is required as we invest in your development. The role offers a strong total rewards package, training, and opportunities for career advancement, including a 4-day/3-day weekend schedule and benefits.

Qualifications

• Ability to follow procedures and willingness to learn new skills.
• Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to communicate in English (verbal & written).
• Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
• Flexibility with working overtime.
• Previous exposure to a lean manufacturing environment is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Participate fully in training programs provided.
• Manufacture castings in a team-oriented production environment.
• Perform cutting, sanding and grinding of castings.
• Progress into casting duties as training milestones are achieved.
• Work collaboratively with other Finishers, Casters and Cell Leaders to meet delivery commitments.
• Apply 5S and Continuous Improvement practices.

Custom Castings is a member of the Nordstern Group of Companies, which also includes Protek Surface Technologies, Forte Tooling Technologies, and Sure Cast Aluminum Foundry. We are currently seeking a reliable and hardworking Production Cell Technician to join our team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
