Qualifications

The role we are proposing:

  • Plan, coordinate and direct the readiness of human and material resources while meeting delivery deadlines, ensuring product quality, and delivering the highest level of customer service.
  • Monitor work costs, status and quality and come up with appropriate solutions to problems.
  • Manage employees and take any necessary disciplinary action in accordance with the collective agreement and human resources policies.
  • Set objectives and evaluate performance.
  • Lead improvement projects within the department.
  • Develop, implement and enforce policies, standards and procedures to improve efficiency, quality, health, safety and profitability.
  • Coordinate a multidisciplinary team: define, manage and coordinate activities related to projects and to the development of CAE products.

The ideal candidate:

  • A college degree in a related field and at least 5 years experience, or an equivalent combination of related training and experience (electrical and/or mechanical).
  • Able to motivate and engage employees in a production environment.
  • Has good experience applying Lean principles.
  • Able to manage with a health and safety mindset.
  • Has good human resource management skills in a unionized environment: an asset.
  • Bilingual (French and English).
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
