- Full-time permanent position - Monday to Friday, 9:00am-5pm
- 17.20-$19 per hour, commensurate with experience

We’re Materialistic, a specialty fabric house providing green and blue screens, backdrops, drapery, technical fabrics, and custom soft goods for films, television, and various entertainment industries.
- We’re looking for a new Production Assistant with a willingness to learn. You will be our resident jack-of-all-trades, participating in collaborative problem solving and channeling your inner MacGyver as we find unexpected solutions together. The work varies depending on projects, with some days involving diverse tasks and others focusing on larger, consistent tasks. You will be physically active throughout the day, handling fabric shipments, cleaning fabrics, maintaining the facility, and engaging with customers.
Responsibilities include:
- Handle, store, receive, and track incoming and outgoing fabric shipments
- Clean and/or repair fabrics
- Maintain a clean and tidy facility
- Use our computerized system to check orders for accuracy and pick and package orders accordingly
- Engage with customers during fabric drop-offs or pick-ups to assess fabric condition

Qualifications include:
- Physical fitness and ability to lift/carry 60 lbs or more
- Experience in a warehouse or logistics role
- Customer service experience
- Basic mechanical skills and comfort with simple hand tools
- Valid driver’s license
Assets (not required):
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
- Experience with sewing, fabrics, or design
- Post-secondary education in fashion, design, or related fields
