Job summary

Saturn Oil & Gas Inc. in Calgary, Alberta seeks a Production Administrator to analyze, design, and implement optimal production strategies for their geographic area. The role reports to the Supervisor, Measurements & Volumetrics and involves data capture, reporting, and regulatory compliance.

Key duties include maintaining ProdView, producing weekly/monthly production reports, ensuring data accuracy for LACT/SCADA, and supporting production accounting. Travel to the field may be required.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in the petroleum industry.
  • Self-motivated, professional team player with strong attention to detail, and proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects successfully.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and Excel skills.
  • Ability to make occasional trips to the field.
  • Sound knowledge of Directive 017/PNG 017 measurement regulations.
  • Software experience with ProdView, Excel, and Power BI is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update the ProdView field data capture system.
  • Be the primary contact for all ProdView technical queries, error resolution, troubleshooting, and data retrieval for the assigned geographical area.
  • Provide routine weekly and monthly production reports to Operations team.
  • Ensure accuracy of monthly truck tickets, offload skids, gas charts, LACT and SCADA reconciliations, well test compliance and third party data receipts.
  • Provide month-end field data capture support to the Production Accounting team.
  • Compile monthly shut in activity reports and coordinate suspension approval and updates.
  • Assist with database maintenance of applications utilized for managing sampling and analysis, calibrations, gas chart integration, FFV and production volumetrics including ProTrend, ProChart, Validere, Intricate and Petrinex.
  • Ensure reporting data is current, accurate, and complete.
  • Build strong working relationships with the field operations, facilities, production accounting and development teams.
  • Review and confirm monthly compliance with Directive 017/PNG 017 and EPAP regulations for SK and AB.
  • Coordinate annual measurement schematic reviews.
  • Review and support battery/well GOR measurement process.
  • Support the Enhanced Production Audit Program (EPAP) data gathering and control processes.
  • Assist with Regulatory inquiries, inspections and compliance reporting.
  • Additional responsibilities as required.

Saturn has an opportunity for a full time Production Administrator based out of Calgary, Alberta. Reporting to the Supervisor, Measurements & Volumetrics, the Production Administrator will analyze, design, and implement optimal production and optimization strategies for their geographic area.

Some specific duties, and responsibilities of the Production Administrator include, but are not limited to:
  • Maintain and update the ProdView field data capture system
