The Opportunity:

Under Sunwing Vacations, we are seeking a Product Specialist to help us make vacation dreams come true. As the Product Specialist, you will ensure Hotel Contracts, Rate Revisions, Destination Transfers, and Excursions are processed accurately and timely. You will also communicate updates and changes to hotel information internally and update the WEB/hotel pages according to deadlines. This position reports to the Director, Product Support, and is based in Toronto, ON.

What You’ll Do:

1. Assist the Director/Buyers with managing and implementing contracts.
2. Maintain accuracy of contracts and handle any changes.
3. Review rates and manage promotional rate updates.
4. Input and manage contracts within the contracting system and handle correspondence from hotels.
5. Complete and follow up on hotel contracts and details.
6. Maintain all hotel contracts and correspondence in the internal drive.
7. Handle the completion of contracts related to promo rooms, marketing, rep rooms, packages, group promotions, staff travel, and related terms and conditions.
8. Ensure reductions/promotions are competitive; escalate to the Director if not.
9. Review hotel reductions entered by suppliers.
10. Assist in negotiations, reductions, and promotions.
11. Participate in weekly meetings to review sales, rate reductions, promotions, and update the product plan.
12. Review and analyze relevant reports.
13. Monitor risk production to meet targets.
14. Analyze empty seats reports with the Destination Team to identify issues.
15. Review daily hotel contract sales, focusing on risk contracts.
16. Assist with trade show planning and reports.
17. Manage internal support and collaborate with external suppliers.
18. Assist with bumping negotiations and appropriate compensation.
19. Liaise with other departments and process related information.
20. Maintain strong internal and supplier relationships.
21. Update hotel content on Sunwing.ca web pages.

What You’ll Need:

• 1-3 years of relevant work experience.
• Post-secondary education in Travel and Tourism or related field.
• Travel and Tourism Certificate.
• TICO Regulations knowledge.
• Proficiency in Office technology (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams).
• Attention to detail and ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to follow company policies and understand organizational structures.
• Willingness to travel as needed.
