Job summary

National Bank in Montreal is seeking a Product Owner for Wealth Management Solutions to guide the evolution of strategic platforms such as Croesus and related capabilities supporting portfolio management, financial planning, and liquidity management.

You will define the product vision, manage the backlog, and align business and technology to maximize value while addressing risks, costs, and compliance across a cross-functional team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a discipline related to the field, with six years of relevant experience.
• Minimum of two years of experience as a Product Owner (PO).
• Knowledge of and experience working in Agile environments (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe).
• Experience leading large-scale technology projects.
• Strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Knowledge of the Wealth Management business domain and National Bank Financial is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Act as a Product Owner (PO) within a Scrum/Agile environment for strategic Wealth Management solutions, including Croesus.
• Define and evolve the product vision, roadmap, and priorities for solutions supporting Wealth Management activities.
• Build, manage, and prioritize the product backlog (epics, user stories) while considering risks, costs, compliance requirements, and dependencies across business sectors.
• Collaborate with strategic vendors, business partners, and technology teams to ensure solutions are aligned with the Bank's business and technology strategies.
• Be accountable for commitments related to value delivery, costs, timelines, and expected benefits.
• Ensure cross-team dependencies and risks are identified, managed, and communicated effectively.
• Act as an inspiring leader who contributes to team engagement and fosters a collaborative environment for all stakeholders.

A career as a Product Owner, Wealth Management Solutions at National Bank means acting as a product leader responsible for the evolution of strategic platforms such as Croesus, as well as the technological capabilities supporting portfolio management, financial planning, and liquidity management activities. In this role, you will contribute to the evolution of strategic platforms and major Wealth Management initiatives to deliver modern, integrated, and high-value digital capabilities. You will be responsible for maximizing business value by setting priorities, aligning business and technology needs, and guiding the evolution of solutions to ensure expected benefits are achieved while effectively managing risks, costs, and compliance requirements.

Your role

Your team

Within the Wealth Management sector, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team responsible for the evolution of strategic solutions that support advisors, operations teams, and business partners. You will work closely with delivery teams, solution architects, external vendors, and business stakeholders to evolve a complex technology ecosystem that supports business growth and enhances the advisor experience.

Prerequisites

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a discipline related to the field, along with six years of relevant experience.
• Minimum of two years of experience as a Product Owner (PO).
• Knowledge of and experience working in Agile environments (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe).
• Experience leading large-scale technology projects.
