National Bank in Montreal is seeking a Private Wealth Advisor to grow the wealthy client base and provide wealth management guidance. You will analyze client needs and craft integrated financial strategies, directing implementation of recommendations and monitoring portfolios to adapt solutions.

The role emphasizes delivering exceptional service, building trust, and collaborating across National Bank’s lines in a hybrid work setting between office and client sites.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree related to the sector of activity and a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience.
  • Master's degree related to the sector of activity and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Registered Representative licence with CIRO.
  • Holding CFA, FICVM, CPA, Pl.Fin very desirable.
  • Experience in business development with wealthy clients and/or entrepreneurs.
  • Ability to develop trusting and lasting relationships.
  • Excellent knowledge of investment products, markets and economy.

Responsibilities

  • Develop the wealthy clientele market for the Montreal area with internal and external partners.
  • Increase assets under management by offering wealth management advisory services aligned with client needs.
  • Rigorously analyze client needs and determine an integrated financial strategy.
  • Direct the implementation of recommendations from financial planning.
  • Maintain very frequent contact with clients to monitor needs and adjust solutions.

Job description

A career as a Private Wealth Advisor in the Commercial & Private Banking 1859 team means acting as a preferred financial specialist for wealthy clients. This job allows you to have a positive impact on our organization, thanks to your skills in providing exceptional customer service, your ability to build strong trusting relationships and your knowledge of financial planning.

Your job:

  • Develop the wealthy clientele market for the Montreal area both with internal and external partners.
  • Increase the assets under management of the assigned portfolio by offering wealth management advisory services in line with client needs.
  • Rigorously analyze customer needs and determine with them an integrated financial strategy.
  • Direct the implementation of recommendations arising from financial planning.
  • Ensure rigorous monitoring of portfolios and establish very frequent contacts with customers in order to follow the evolution of their needs and adapt solutions accordingly.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, both in terms of speed, accessibility and competence
  • Work in synergy with all of the National Bank's business lines.

Your team

Within the Commercial & Private Banking 1859 sector, you are part of a large team of around thirty colleagues, and you report to the regional vice-president GP1859. Our team stands out for its dedication and expertise. This position offers a hybrid work mode; you organize your weeks between the office, meetings with customers, events, and home.

Prerequisites

  • Bachelor's degree related to the sector of activity and a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience OR master's degree related to the sector of activity and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience or any other relevant combination of experience and training
  • Registered Representative licence with CIRO
  • Holding another professional title: CFA, FICVM, CPA, Pl.Fin very desirable
  • Experience in business development with wealthy clients and/or entrepreneurs
  • Ability to develop trusting and lasting relationships
  • Excellent knowledge of investment products (mastery of financial markets and the economy in order to act appropriately)
  • Knowledge of taxation, retirement planning and estate planning
