Job description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Product Owner (Customer Experience) based in Canada.

We are looking for a hands-on Product Owner to take ownership of the end-to-end customer journey across a portfolio of consumer-facing products. You will identify opportunities to improve the experience of a large user base, remove friction throughout the customer funnel, and translate insights into measurable business growth. Combining product strategy with data-driven execution, you will independently explore analytics, develop evidence-based hypotheses, and guide initiatives from initial concepts through launch. Working closely with developers, analysts, and designers, you will shape product priorities and ensure every improvement delivers meaningful value. This remote opportunity offers significant autonomy, broad product ownership, and the chance to influence experiences used by a million-strong audience.

Accountabilities
  • Own the customer journey end-to-end, from initial registration to meaningful long-term user interactions.
  • Identify friction points, user pain points, and growth opportunities across the customer funnel.
  • Independently explore product analytics using AI-powered tools, including querying BigQuery through MCP, to uncover insights and validate assumptions.
  • Translate analytical findings into clear, evidence-based product hypotheses and actionable opportunities.
  • Write concise product briefs and drive initiatives through specifications, prototyping, development, and release.
  • Collaborate with developers, analysts, and designers to deliver product improvements effectively.
  • Build, maintain, and prioritize the product backlog according to the value each initiative creates for users and the business.
  • Connect product initiatives to measurable business outcomes, including revenue, turnover, and net profit, rather than focusing exclusively on conversion rates.
  • Monitor product performance and assess the impact of implemented changes.
  • Identify successful experiments and scale effective solutions across the broader product portfolio.
  • Take ownership of challenging product problems and drive initiatives through to measurable results.
Requirements

The ideal candidate combines strong product management capabilities with hands-on analytical skills, commercial awareness, and a results-driven mindset. The following qualifications are expected:

  • Experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, Project Manager, or Team Lead within B2C products.
  • Startup experience is welcome.
  • A hands-on approach to product ownership, including conducting analysis, preparing product briefs, and driving initiatives independently from idea to execution.
  • Practical experience using AI-powered tools for product analytics and documentation.
  • Strong understanding of product metrics, conversion funnels, and user journey analytics.
  • Solid knowledge of unit economics and the relationship between product performance and business profitability.
  • Demonstrated experience owning business metrics such as revenue, turnover, or net profit, rather than focusing solely on conversion rates.
  • Strong prioritization and decision-making skills, with the ability to manage a broad scope of responsibilities.
  • Persistence, initiative, and a strong drive to achieve results in challenging environments.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • A technical degree or previous software development experience is a strong advantage.
Benefits
  • Fully remote, full-time work arrangement.
  • 28 calendar days of paid vacation per year.
  • 7 additional wellness days annually to manage personal or household matters, rest, and recover without using sick leave.
  • Referral bonuses of up to $5,000 for recommending successful candidates.
  • 50% reimbursement for professional training, international conferences, and professional meetings.
  • Corporate discounts on English language lessons.
  • Health benefits: employees who are not eligible for corporate medical insurance may receive compensation of up to $1,000 gross per year to purchase health insurance or cover medical expenses for themselves and close relatives, including spouses and children.
  • Workplace equipment and infrastructure, including access to equipped offices or coworking spaces where available.
  • For employees working from other locations, reimbursement of up to $1,000 gross every three years for home-office setup or coworking expenses, subject to the applicable payment terms.
  • Internal gamified recognition program, allowing employees to earn colleague-awarded bonuses and exchange them for merchandise, team-building activities, massage certificates, and other rewards.
  • Compensation details, including the initial salary level or range, shared with candidates during the recruitment process and before employment begins.
  • Opportunity to directly influence the customer experience of products serving a million-strong audience.
  • Significant autonomy to improve the customer journey, from incremental user experience enhancements to major product initiatives.
  • A challenging role offering broad ownership and opportunities for professional growth.
