Why This Role Matters

We're looking for a strategic, technical, and creative Product Marketing Manager to drive our go-to-market success. In this role, you'll own messaging, positioning, and competitive strategy to help us stand apart from legacy VDI vendors like Citrix, VMware, Microsoft AVD, and AWS WorkSpaces.

You'll translate complex tech into powerful business value, help sales close more deals, and position Softdrive as the VDI 2.0 category leader. Your impact will be seen in increased market share, stronger pipeline, and faster deal velocity.

What You'll Achieve

Within 30 days:

  • Audit and enhance messaging, positioning, and competitive intel
  • Build relationships across sales, product, and success teams
  • Deliver updated sales enablement content and monthly customer newsletter

Within 90 days:

  • Launch campaign highlighting Softdrive's performance edge
  • Creating new sales materials for external partners and internal sales teams
  • Execute go-to-market strategy for new vertical segments

By Your First Year:

  • Improve pipeline quality and deal close rates
  • Cement Softdrive as a category leader in high-performance VDI
  • Contribute directly to 300%+ YoY revenue growth
Core Responsibilities

Strategic Messaging & Positioning

  • Own our 'Performance Without Compromise' value proposition
  • Translate tech differentiators into business outcomes
  • Frame Softdrive as the modern, next-gen alternative to outdated VDI

Market Intelligence & Competitive Analysis

  • Maintain competitive battle cards and win/loss programs
  • Track market movements from Citrix, VMware, Microsoft, AWS, and others
  • Feed insights into sales strategy and product roadmap

Persona-Driven Content Development

  • Build messaging by buyer type: IT Admins, CTOs, end users
  • Tailor positioning to verticals like architecture, design, and engineering
  • Deliver sales content: battle cards, ROI tools, whitepapers, briefs, case studies

Go-to-Market & Product Launch Support

  • Support feature launches across Softvirt, Softnet, and Softstream
  • Develop technical positioning for enterprise capabilities (multi-monitor, security, etc.)
  • Collaborate with product and engineering to drive roadmap alignment

Thought Leadership & Brand Visibility

  • Lead monthly blog and whitepaper content
  • Drive brand awareness via regular LinkedIn posts
  • Highlight customer stories

Customer Communications & Research

  • Run monthly newsletter and release note distribution
  • Conduct interviews and usage analysis to refine GTM strategy
  • Track trends in virtualization, remote work, and digital transformation

Sales Enablement & Field Support

  • Deliver battle cards, pitch decks, proposal templates
  • Train reps on objection handling and competitive positioning
  • Build demo environments and discovery frameworks

Performance Optimization

  • Track KPIs: pipeline influence, content engagement, win rates
  • Use A/B testing to refine messaging and GTM assets
  • Regularly report on marketing's impact on revenue
Must-Have Qualifications
  • 7+ years in B2B product marketing for enterprise technology
  • Technical fluency: capable of simplifying cloud, virtualization, GPU compute concepts
  • Hands-on experience with B2B sales and sales enablement
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills
  • Experience with HubSpot, analytics and campaign tools
Bonus Points For
  • Background in VDI, desktop virtualization, or GPU-heavy workflows
  • Familiarity marketing against Citrix, VMware, Microsoft, AWS
  • Experience in architecture, engineering, or design verticals
  • Early-stage startup experience (Seed, Series A-C)
