About the Role

Teranet is currently seeking a Contract Product Manager. You will report to the Director, Business Development, with reporting lines to other Product Directors and the VP of Product Development. We are looking for an experienced product professional who can work independently, produce results with limited onboarding, and handle 2-4 product concepts involving analysis, concept validation, and business case development.

What You’ll Be Doing

  1. Execute the product strategy and manage the product lifecycle. Liaise with Senior Management to determine methods and techniques for successful project completion.
  2. Translate market needs into product features. Monitor industry trends, competitive insights, and analyze growth opportunities and threats.
  3. Ensure regulatory compliance, focusing on new technology and architecture standards to maintain market leadership.
  4. Participate as a member of the scrum team, making tactical decisions on scope and ensuring success criteria are defined and monitored.
  5. Champion product management methodologies, adhering to guidelines and best practices.
  6. Work with the sales director to develop strategies to increase product market share.
  7. Determine product pricing using market research, production and sales costs, and volume forecasts.

About You

  1. Passionate about customers, products, and processes, with a deep knowledge of markets and products.
  2. Act as a mentor to less experienced Product Managers and Analysts.
  3. Skilled in quantitative analysis to inform product decisions, with strong communication skills for complex data.
  4. Solid experience with CS scripting languages.
  5. Knowledge of statistical methods such as experimentation, regression, and probabilities.
  6. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  7. Strong technical aptitude, capable of translating complex business processes into manageable workflows.
  8. Ability to analyze functional requirements within budget constraints and emerging technologies.
  9. Familiar with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  10. Competent in conducting market research and synthesizing complex data into actionable goals.
  11. Critical thinking skills for generating innovative ideas.
  12. Advanced knowledge of SQL.
  13. Experience working in an agile development environment.
