About the Role

Teranet is currently looking for a Contract Product Manager. You will report to the Director, Business Development with reporting lines to other Product Directors and VP, Product Development. You are an experienced product professional who can work independently and will come in and be able to produce with limited onboarding. Your primary responsibilities will be conducting analysis, concept validation and business case development on 2-4 product concepts.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Execute on the product strategy and manage the product through the entire product lifecycle. Liaise with Senior Management in matters of significance in order to determine methods and techniques that will lead a product project into successful completion.
  • Translate market needs into product features. Monitor industry trends and competitive insights at product level, and analyze broader growth opportunities and competitive threats.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance of products with a focus on new technology and architecture standards to drive a market leadership position.
  • Participate as a member of the scrum team, making rapid tactical decisions on scope and ensuring success/exit criteria is defined and monitored.
  • Champions product management methodology, adhering to guidelines and best practices.
  • Obtains product market share by working with sales director to develop product sales strategies.
  • Determines product pricing by utilizing market research data; reviewing production and sales costs; anticipating volume.
About You
  • Consistently exhibiting curiosity and passion for their customers, product(s) and product process.
  • Requires deep product and market knowledge.
  • Act as a mentor to less experienced Product Managers and Product Analysts.
  • Experience using quantitative analysis to impact key product decisions along with a strong ability to communicate results of complex analyses.
  • Solid experience working in CS scripting language.
  • Strong understanding of common statistical methods and applications such as experimentation, regression and probabilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Possess a strong technical aptitude, and demonstrated ability to quickly convert complex business processes into understandable and easy to manage processes and decision points.
  • Creatively analyze and adapt functional requirements into alignment with any budgetary constraints and emerging technologies.
  • Knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • The ability to conduct market research.
  • Ability to synthesize complex data into actionable goals.
  • Critical thinking skills to recommend original and productive ideas.
  • Advanced knowledge of SQL.
  • Experience working in an agile development environment.
