RBC is seeking a data/product management professional to support the Chief Data Office's analytics and data storytelling efforts. You will collaborate with subject matter experts to understand data, metrics, and metadata, ensuring alignment of the product strategy with business needs.

You will also build dashboards, reports, and documentation to communicate insights clearly to leaders, while tracking project progress and coordinating with stakeholders across teams.

Competenze

  • 5+ years of experience in data and product management.
  • Strong SQL, Tableau and PostgreSQL experience.
  • Experience in Financial Services with exposure to data activities.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while collaborating with SMEs.

Mansioni

  • Analyze data and metadata to support product development and enhancements.
  • Create and maintain dashboards and views for diverse audiences using Collibra/BI tools.
  • Produce clear data-driven communications and release notes for stakeholders.

What is the Opportunity?

As part of the Product Management Team within the Chief Data Office (CDO), we're seeking someone to help support data and business analytics activities, as well as the development of data story‑telling materials and communications.

Job Description

As part of the Product Management Team within the Chief Data Office (CDO), we're seeking someone to help support data and business analytics activities, as well as the development of data story‑telling materials and communications. The successful candidate will collaborate with subject matter experts to best understand our data and metadata. They will also support communications with data driven metrics to ensure our product strategy aligns with business needs. This role is ideal for someone who takes initiative to understand the business connection behind the data and can parse apart what is important from the noise.

What will you do?
Data Analytics
  • Leverage our metadata for in-depth analysis on the workstreams in scope for product development or enhancement.
  • Use analysis outcomes to contribute to evaluating how product initiatives align with consumer needs and company priorities.
  • Work with subject matter experts to understand the data and analysis outcomes.
Reporting & Documentation
  • Leverage Collibra to build and maintain views and dashboard reports for a variety of audiences.
  • Support tactical reporting efforts while strategic solutions are in progress.
  • Communicate summaries of information with clear visualizations and insights to help leaders make decisions.
  • Support document maintenance, especially as it relates to requirement documents and user guides.
Stakeholder Alignment & Program Support
  • Support product management communication efforts with shared inbox monitoring and triage.
  • Support communications to stakeholders with regular release notes and connect page maintenance.
  • Work with teams to implement solutions and improve services.
  • Track progress and keep visibility on key projects.
  • Highlight discrepancies between internal policy and procedures and product capabilities.
What do you need to succeed?
Must have
  • 5+ years of experience in data and product management
  • Intermediate experience with SQL, Tableau and database technologies like PostgreSQL.
  • Experience in Financial Services with exposure to data activities.
  • Comfort in asking clarifying questions with internal and external subject matter experts.
  • Ability managing multiple priorities at once.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Solid skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint)
Nice-to-Have
  • Familiarity with program management tools (e.g., JIRA, Microsoft)
  • Knowledge of global data management regulations (e.g., BCBS 239, FRB)
  • DCAM Certified
