Modine in Calgary is seeking a Quality Manager to lead the quality assurance and continuous improvement across a product line in our manufacturing plant. You will drive the QMS, implement SPC/FMEA, and lead a team of quality engineers and technicians to reduce defects and scrap.

The role requires hands-on leadership, strong problem-solving, and collaboration with production and engineering to ensure regulatory compliance and customer satisfaction.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or related field.
• 6 years of quality engineering experience in manufacturing (HVAC/refrigeration preferred).
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, AQI Q1 standards, and regulatory compliance.
• Proven leadership experience managing quality teams and driving strategic quality initiatives.
• Expertise in Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, and advanced quality methodologies.
• Hands-on experience with welding, brazing, assembly, and testing.
• Strong problem-solving skills with 8D, FMEA, SPC, and DOE.
• Proficiency in quality data analysis tools (Minitab, JMP).
• Excellent communication and leadership, with ability to influence cross-functional teams and senior leadership.

Responsabilidades

• Execute the plant’s quality strategy and align with business goals and customer requirements.
• Manage a portion of the Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure ISO 9001, AQI Q1 compliance and other standards.
• Lead RCCA and corrective actions for recurring quality issues.
• Implement and maintain SPC and FMEA to drive process improvements.
• Lead and develop the product line quality team with coaching and mentorship.
• Monitor KPI’s and report insights to plant leadership.
• Serve as liaison for customer quality concerns and audits.
• Collaborate with operations to foster a culture of quality ownership.
