Job summary

Liburdi Dimetrics Corporation seeks a full-time Product Engineer / Product Manager with a strong background in machine design, manufacturing, and PLM. You will bridge Engineering, Project Management, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Quality to maintain existing designs and lead next-generation improvements.

The role requires coordinating changes from concept to production, overseeing documentation updates, and ensuring alignment with quality and inventory considerations.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or diploma required; mechanical or mechatronics preferred.
• Minimum 3 years in engineering, manufacturing, product support, product management, or project engineering.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment required.
• Experience with mechanical design and engineering drawings required.
• Experience managing technical projects or engineering change processes is an asset.
• Experience with standard or productionized products is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Act as liaison between Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality, and Production for standard product improvements.
• Review, summarize, and prioritize feedback related to product performance, manufacturability, quality, and supportability.
• Identify gaps, deficiencies, and opportunities within product documentation, drawings, BOMs, work instructions, and related documents.
• Develop recommendations for design and documentation updates.
• Coordinate and oversee implementation of approved changes through Engineering and Design teams.
• Track and manage product-related issues to ensure timely resolution and continuous improvement.
• Evaluate existing product designs and identify opportunities for improvement based on manufacturing experience, supply chain feedback, quality data, customer input, and competitive analysis.
• Lead planning and execution of product design revisions and generational updates.
• Develop recommendations and executive-level summaries to enable efficient decision-making by management.
• Coordinate design changes from concept through documentation, validation, production release, and field implementation.
• Assess impact of product changes on inventory, WIP, service parts, installed equipment, and future production requirements.
• Develop and execute rollout plans that minimize disruption and support existing installations.
• Participate in design reviews, technical meetings, testing activities, and production readiness reviews.

Job Description

We are currently seeking a full-time Product Engineer / Product Manager with a strong technical background in machine design, manufacturing and product lifecycle management. This role bridges Engineering, Project Management, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Quality functions to ensure the continued success of Liburdi's standard product lines. The successful candidate will be responsible for both maintaining existing product designs and leading the evaluation, implementation, and rollout of product improvements and next-generation design revisions. The hours will typically be Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm.

Base wage:$70,000 - $90,000 / hour

Typical Duties Include (but are not limited to):

Product Maintenance and Design Documentation

Product Evolution and Change Management

• Evaluate existing product designs and identify opportunities for improvement based on manufacturing experience, supply chain feedback, quality data, customer input, and competitive analysis
• Lead the planning and execution of product design revisions and generational product updates
• Develop recommendations and executive-level summaries that enable efficient decision-making by management
• Coordinate design changes from concept through documentation, validation, production release, and field implementation
• Assess the impact of product changes on existing inventory, works-in-progress, service parts, installed customer equipment, and future production requirements
• Develop and execute structured rollout plans that minimize operational disruption and support existing customer installations
• Participate in design reviews, technical meetings, testing activities, and production readiness reviews

• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in engineering, manufacturing, product support, product management, or project engineering roles required
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment is required
• Experience with mechanical design and engineering drawings is required
• Experience managing technical projects or engineering change processes is considered an asset
• Experience with standard or productionized products is highly desirable
• Awareness of ISO 9001
