Job summary

Liburdi Dimetrics Corporation in Hamilton, Ontario seeks a full-time Electrical Field Technician to install, troubleshoot, calibrate and maintain automated robotic welding equipment at production facilities and customer sites. The role requires 3-5 years' experience and travel up to 50% in North America, with day and night shifts at times.

Job Description

We are currently seeking full-time Electrical Field Technicians to install, troubleshoot, calibrate, and maintain automated robotic welding equipment at both internal production facilities and international customer sites. Regular travel within North America, including the Golden Horseshoe, is required and is expected to account for at least 50% of the role. Travel may be required with as little as 48 hours’ notice. Standard working hours are Monday to Friday, 7:30 am to 4:00 pm when based at our Dundas, Ontario manufacturing facility. While at customer sites, the successful candidate must be flexible to support both day and night shifts.

Base salary:$65,000 - $75,000 / year (Plus applicable travel premiums)

Typical Duties Include (but are not limited to):

• Troubleshooting, installing, setting up and repairing automated welding equipment
• Maintaining equipment service logs
• Maintaining spare parts lists
• Installing, setting up and commissioning equipment at site at Liburdi’s production facilities
• Completing quality testing of robotic welding systems
• Providing equipment maintenance and calibration support for Liburdi fleet of equipment
• Intermittent lifting up to 50lb
• Occasionally working in confined spaces, at heights or other potentially hazardous worksites
• Occasional international travel to customer sites for extended periods of time
• Working in nuclear facilities and/or oil and gas installations

Key Skill Requirements:

• Experience in Microsoft applications, computer software and hardware
• Strong electrical and mechanical aptitude
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent problem solving, analytical and troubleshooting skills

Key Experience/Education:

• Electrical, Electronic or Electromechanical Technician or Technologist diploma is required
• Previous experience travelling in North America is an asset
• Previous experience travelling Internationally is an asset
• Previous experience self-booking travel arrangements is an asset
• 3-5 years’ experience working in a welding equipment manufacturing environment is preferred
• Awareness of ISO 9001
