Job summary

ME Elecmetal seeks a Product Design Engineer to join the Mill Liner Products & Solutions team. You will design and improve mill liner components using 3D CAD, analyze field data, and collaborate with customers and cross-functional teams to enhance wear life and performance.

Responsibilities include preparing drawings, handling field measurements, and supporting projects from concept to deployment, with travel to customer sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• P.Eng. in Canada required.
• Minimum 3 years of mechanical design or product development experience.
• Experience using CAD software and Product Data Management (PDM) systems.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites.

Responsibilities

• Design mill liner components using 3D CAD software and prepare manufacturing drawings.
• Analyze worn components using field measurements, point cloud scans, and reverse engineering techniques.
• Develop engineering solutions that improve wear life, performance, and reliability.
• Collaborate with customers, Product Managers, Sales, and Engineering teams to understand application requirements.
• Support product development projects from concept through implementation.
• Evaluate field performance data and recommend product improvements.
• Prepare technical reports and engineering documentation.
• Travel to customer mine sites as required.
