Job summary

North Central Co-op invites applications for the position of Part-Time Produce Clerk to join our HawkstoneFood Store team located in Edmonton, AB. Must be available evenings and weekends. Open availability is an asset.

The Produce Clerk will ensure a positive customer experience by greeting customers and offering product knowledge to assist with purchases. You will package, wrap, and label produce, maintain displays, and keep work areas clean and organized.

Qualifications

• Must be available evenings and weekends.
• Previous retail experience preferred.
• Able to lift 30 lbs consistently.
• Provide friendly, knowledgeable customer service in the produce area.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, friendly and knowledgeable service to customers in the produce area.
• Package, wrap, and label produce.
• Maintain a display of produce meeting company standards.
• Monitor temperatures, clean equipment and workspaces.
• Other duties as required.

What you’ll do

The Produce Clerk is responsible for ensuring a positive customer experience by offering a friendly greeting and engaging with customers. This position provides customers with a high-level of product knowledge to assist with purchase decisions.

• Provide prompt, friendly and knowledgeable service to customers in the produce area
• Package, wrap, and label produce
• Maintain a display of produce ensuring facing, filling and organization of products meets company standards
• Monitor temperatures, clean equipment and workspaces
• Other duties as required
