Job summary

North Central Co-op invites applications for the position of Part-Time Produce Clerk to join our ChappelleFood Store team located in Edmonton, AB. Open availability is an asset. As a Produce Clerk you will greet customers, share product knowledge and support shopping experiences in a friendly, efficient manner.

You may package, wrap, and label produce and help maintain display standards. We value diversity and offer competitive wages, a pension plan, recognition programs for service, learning

Qualifications

• Strong verbal communication skills.
• Enthusiastic approach to work.
• Efficient and accurate in a busy environment.
• Must be able to lift 30lbs consistently.
• Previous retail experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, friendly and knowledgeable service to customers in the produce area
• Package, wrap, and label produce
• Maintain a display of produce ensuring facing, filling and organization of products meets company standards
• Monitor temperatures, clean equipment and workspaces
• Other duties as required

What you’ll do

The Produce Clerk is responsible for ensuring a positive customer experience by offering a friendly greeting and engaging with customers. This position provides customers with a high-level of product knowledge to assist with purchase decisions.
