North Central Co-op is seeking a full-time Meat Supervisor for Hawkstone Food Store in Edmonton, AB. Open availability is required.

As a co-operative, we serve Western Canadians and invest in sustainable growth. You will support the Meat Manager, oversee daily operations, inventory, merchandising, and customer service, while mentoring team members.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Retail Meat Department is required.
• Experience in a Retail Produce department is preferred.
• Leadership experience in a retail team is an asset.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs.
• Strong interpersonal, communication and customer service skills.
• Good time management and organizational abilities.

Responsibilities

• Support the Meat Manager in all aspects of Meat Operations.
• Oversee daily meat department operations to maintain customer service excellence.
• Oversee inventory control, ordering and receiving for the department.
• Ensure proper merchandising, tagging and pricing accuracy.
• Maintain customer satisfaction by addressing concerns and follow-ups.
• Contribute to training and development of meat department team members.
• Provide backup support for the Meat Manager as needed.

What you’ll do:

• Support the Meat Manager in all aspects of the Meat Operations
• Oversee daily operations in the meat department to maintain excellent customer service
• Oversee inventory control, ordering and receiving for the department
• Ensure the meat department is appropriately merchandised including tagging and pricing accuracy
• Maintain customer standards by tracking, monitoring and following up with customer concerns
• Participate in the training and development of meat department team members
• Perform general duties, as assigned including backup support for the Meat Manager

• You have Retail Meat Department experience
• You have previous Retail Produce experience.
• Retail Team Leadership experience would be an asset.
• You are proficient in Microsoft Office Programs.
• You have exceptional interpersonal, communication and customer service skills.
• You have strong time management and organizational skills.
