Job summary

Rainhouse Manufacturing Canada Ltd. in Victoria, BC is seeking a Procurement and Purchasing Agent to support the sourcing of materials, equipment, and services essential for manufacturing operations.

The role focuses on building strong supplier relationships, ensuring timely resource availability, and contributing to continuous improvement and cost efficiency. The successful candidate will manage supplier negotiations, purchase orders, and ERP records, with a permanent full-time schedule (30–40

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or college diploma in business administration, commerce, supply chain management, economics, or related field.
• Experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain within manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Experience using ERP and/or MRP systems to manage purchasing activities and records.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other standard business software.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate supply market conditions, assess procurement risks, and prepare analyses to support sourcing decisions.
• Purchase materials, components, equipment, and services for manufacturing operations.
• Develop specifications for materials and services to support manufacturing operations and new product introduction.
• Conduct supplier research, request quotations, evaluate pricing and delivery, and provide sourcing recommendations.
• Prepare and manage purchase orders, including releases, confirmations, and expedites.
• Maintain supplier relationships and evaluate performance to improve sourcing opportunities.
• Coordinate deliveries, monitor order status, and resolve delays and issues to ensure timely supply.
• Maintain procurement records in ERP with pricing, lead times, and supplier data.
