Job summary

Quarterhill Inc. in Saskatoon is seeking a Purchaser to manage purchasing and procurement activities across the organization, ensuring sourcing of equipment, materials, and services complies with policies and laws.

The role collaborates with Finance, Sales, Engineering and Project Management to align procurement with business needs, analyzes supplier performance, negotiates terms, and ensures timely purchase orders and budget controls.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Supply Chain Management, Business, Procurement, or related field; or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of three years of procurement and supply chain experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience using an ERP system in purchasing or supply chain capacity.

Responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate, and qualify suppliers and vendors to ensure alignment with organizational requirements.
• Procure materials, equipment, and services based on demand generated through the ERP system and approved business requirements.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, contracts, and delivery schedules to achieve best value.
• Prepare and process purchase requisitions, purchase orders, and bids.
• Monitor purchase orders to ensure timely fulfillment and collaboration with suppliers to resolve issues.
