This student role offers hands-on experience in preconstruction activities, procurement processes, and project coordination within the Solar District. You will assist with reviewing RFPs, coordinating with designers and estimators, and developing procurement dashboards using PM4+ and Power BI.

Qualifications

• Strong desire to work in a solar preconstruction function.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, word processing, and spreadsheet applications (Excel).
• Familiarity with PM4+ and Power BI is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with coordinating and managing the project design and procurement process which includes taking detailed meeting minutes and following up on open items.
• Assisting with review of RFP documentation, drawings/diagrams, and specifications for key project requirements.
• Facilitating communication and collaboration between all project stakeholders by utilizing PM4+ to send RFIs and submittals.
• Assist projects with material take-offs, quantity optimization, and pricing compilation and recaps. Streamlining project processes by developing procurement operating practices and converting excel tools into standard Solar templates.
• Supporting project success by developing and maintaining PM4+ procurement dashboards for projects. Draft purchase orders and coordinate with estimators and schedulers to ensure compliance with project budgets and expected delivery dates.
• Communicating with internal and external stakeholders to resolve issues.
• Developing and maintaining strong customer focused relationships with all stakeholders.
