Job summary

PCL is seeking a Procurement Student for the Canadian Industrial Division in Edmonton, AB. This eight-month role, starting January 2027, reports to the District Procurement Manager and offers hands-on experience in sourcing, vendor selection, and procurement administration within a construction environment.

You will develop sourcing strategies, manage inventory, and contribute to procurement reporting while aligning with safety practices and company policies.

Responsibilities

• Sourcing materials, services and equipment as directed and in accordance with policy and procedures.
• Identify and select vendors based on price, quantity, quality, safety and delivery.

• Handle shipping and receiving.
• Maintain inventory levels and records.
• Prepare procurement reports and documentation as required.
• Provide equipment administration support.
• Follow PCL safety practices.
• Assist in procurement and equipment management activities as needed.

We are seeking a Procurement Student for ourCanadian Industrial Division district office in Edmonton, AB, that is available for8 months starting in January 2027. This position will be under the direct supervisor of the District Procurement Manager.

As a Procurement Student and depending on your assigned project, you will have the opportunity to contribute to our team by:

• Sourcing materials, services and equipment as directed and in accordance with policy and procedures.
• Identifying and selecting vendors to purchase requisitioned commodities, meeting criteria such as price, quantity, quality, safety, and delivery date.
• Expediting orders.
• Shipping and receiving.
• Maintaining inventory levels and records.
• Preparing procurement reports and documentation as required.
• Providing equipment administration support.
• Practicing PCL safety practices.
• Assisting in all aspects, as is reasonably available, of procurement & equipment management activities.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Supply Chain Management or Operations Management specialization in a post-secondary institution.
