Job summary

PCL Construction in Edmonton, AB is seeking a Procurement Student for the Canadian Industrial Division. This 8‑month role starts January 2027 and reports to the District Procurement Manager.

You will source materials, identify vendors, expedite orders, manage inventory, and prepare procurement reports while following safety practices. Enrollment in SCM/Operations Management and strong communication are required.

We are seeking a Procurement Student for ourCanadian Industrial Division district office in Edmonton, AB, that is available for8 months starting in January 2027. This position will be under the direct supervisor of the District Procurement Manager.

Responsibilities

As a Procurement Student and depending on your assigned project, you will have the opportunity to contribute to our team by:

• Sourcing materials, services and equipment as directed and in accordance with policy and procedures.
• Identifying and selecting vendors to purchase requisitioned commodities, meeting criteria such as price, quantity, quality, safety, and delivery date.
• Expediting orders.
• Shipping and receiving.
• Maintaining inventory levels and records.
• Preparing procurement reports and documentation as required.
• Providing equipment administration support.
• Practicing PCL safety practices.
• Assisting in all aspects, as is reasonably available, of procurement & equipment management activities.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Supply Chain Management or Operations Management specialization in a post-secondary institution.
• Candidates must have a strong desire to work in a construction environment.
• Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
