Job summary

Schneider Electric Canada is seeking a seasoned Procurement Specialist to help ensure material availability for Services and manufacturing operations. You will drive supplier performance, cost savings, and data integrity in SAP while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

The role requires 5+ years in procurement, strong negotiation skills, and proficiency with SAP and Excel. Quebec candidates must have functional French.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of procurement experience in manufacturing or services.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience negotiating with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Experience working with MSAs.
  • Proficiency with SAP and Excel.
  • For Quebec-based candidates functional French is required.

Responsibilities

  • Manage purchase orders and ensure materials are delivered on time to meet operational requirements.
  • Proactively identify and resolve potential supply shortages and expedite critical orders when needed.
  • Support resolution of invoice discrepancies in partnership with Accounts Payable.
  • Participate in operational planning and supply review meetings.
  • Drive cost-saving initiatives through supplier negotiations and collaboration with internal stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate purchasing data, pricing information, and commodity codes in SAP.
  • Monitor supplier performance and implement improvement plans when required.
  • Support supplier selection, qualification, and ongoing relationship management.
  • Negotiate and manage supplier contracts, including pricing, quality, lead times, logistics, and service levels.
  • Contribute to sourcing strategies and productivity improvement initiatives.

Job description

What will you do?

As a Procurement Specialist, you will play a key role in ensuring material availability for our Services business and manufacturing operations while helping drive supplier performance, operational efficiency, and cost savings. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and suppliers to support business continuity and deliver outstanding results.

What qualifications will make you successful?

Must-have qualifications

  • 5+ years of procurement experience, ideally within a manufacturing or services environment.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience negotiating with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Experience working with Master Service Agreements (MSAs).
  • Proficiency with SAP and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
  • For Quebec-based candidates functional French is required.

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience analyzing supplier performance metrics and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

The expected pay range is CAD 75,200 - CAD 112,800 per year. This pay range includes base pay and short-term incentives.
