Job summary

Rheinmetall Canada is seeking a Supply Project Manager to lead strategic procurement and contract management efforts. You will work with stakeholders across the company to develop and execute procurement strategies, manage subcontracting, and negotiate complex agreements with suppliers, locally and internationally.

The role requires a university degree in a relevant field, 10+ years of experience, bilingual communication in French and English, and strong leadership to influence diverse teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in procurement and contract management.
• Solid understanding of contractual and legal environments; capable of negotiating complex agreements.
• Experience in managing strategic negotiations and supplier relationships.
• Excellent analytical, synthesis and decision‑making skills.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills in both languages (French and English).
• Mastery of Microsoft Office tools, with Excel proficiency; ERP experience an asset.

Responsibilities

• Lead subcontract contract files and support the Director of Procurement in planning, execution and monitoring of key initiatives.
• Analyze, structure and consolidate internal client needs, aligning with objectives, budgets and schedules.
• Be the main point of contact for commercial and contractual aspects with suppliers.
• Define and deploy procurement strategies including risk management for mandates.
• Draft, negotiate and revise contractual agreements and subcontracts.
• Administer subcontracting contracts and monitor supplier performance and deviations.
• Oversee the procurement cycle: RFP/RFQ, technical and commercial analysis, cost estimation, recommendations and supplier selection.
• Lead complex negotiations to obtain best commercial conditions.
• Supervise preparation and issuance of complex purchase orders and monitor them rigorously.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of procurement processes and contract management.
• Represent the company with partners and suppliers locally and internationally.

Rheinmetall Canada is currently looking for a Supply Project Manager whose main challenge will be to develop strategies and provide all services related to the acquisition of goods and services for the company. Reporting to the Procurement Manager, the incumbent will work in close collaboration with stakeholders from various sectors of the company. Through their role of influence and leadership, the incumbent will play a key role at Rheinmetall Canada and strongly contribute to the company's growth.

Here will be your main responsibilities:

• Act as a Lead to support the Director of Procurement on subcontract contract files, actively contributing to the planning, execution and monitoring of key initiatives.
• Analyze, structure and consolidate the needs of internal clients, ensuring alignment with business objectives, budgets and schedules.
• Be the main point of contact for commercial and contractual aspects with suppliers.
• Define and deploy optimal procurement strategies, including risk management, to ensure the success of mandates.
• Actively participate in the drafting, negotiation and revision of contractual agreements and subcontracts.
• Ensure the administration of subcontracting contracts, including the management of supplier performance, contractual deviations and non-conformities.
• Pilot the entire procurement cycle: calls for tender (RFP/RFQ), commercial and technical analysis, cost estimation, recommendations and supplier selection.
• Lead complex negotiations aimed at obtaining the best commercial conditions (costs, deadlines, quality, contractual clauses).
• Supervise the preparation and issuance of complex purchase orders, as well as their rigorous monitoring.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of procurement processes and contractual management practices.
• Represent the company with partners and suppliers, locally and internationally (as needed).

The skills we are looking for:

• University degree in a relevant field (management, procurement, engineering, law, administration or equivalent).
• Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, including significant experience in strategic procurement and contract/subcontract management.
• Solid understanding of contractual and legal environments, with the ability to structure, analyze and negotiate complex agreements.
• Demonstrated experience in managing strategic negotiations and supplier relationships.
• Excellent analytical, synthesis and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication skills (oral and written) and strong ability to influence internal and external stakeholders.
• Bilingualism (French and English), orally and in writing*.
• Mastery of Microsoft Office tools (especially advanced Excel) and experience with an ERP (SAP an asset).
• Acute sense of ethics, judgment and responsibilities, with a results-oriented approach.
• Natural leadership, autonomy and ability to act as a reference (lead) within the team.
