Job Title: Procurement Manager

The Procurement Manager leads purchasing activities to support production and operational requirements within the Business Unit (BU). Responsibilities include team development, supplier management, and driving procurement best practices and processes. The role acts as the primary escalation point for issues, fosters positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, and supports strategic initiatives for Supply Chain. Success in this role requires strong leadership, excellent communication, organizational skills, and the ability to build effective relationships.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Coach and mentor a team of Buyers.
  2. Provide training and support for standardized procurement processes and initiatives.
  3. Collaborate with leadership to ensure buying practices meet customer needs and cost targets.
  4. Allocate buying resources effectively across the business unit.
  5. Manage transactional approvals including POs, credit requests, and supplier qualifications.
  6. Serve as the escalation point for part shortages and delivery issues.
  7. Coordinate activities with the Planning team to optimize impact.
  8. Build and maintain relationships with internal and external customers and suppliers.
  9. Lead cost reduction and inventory management initiatives to support EBITDA targets.
  10. Support strategic projects such as material cost reductions and supplier negotiations.
  11. Monitor supplier performance and lead improvement plans.
  12. Maintain supplier relationships and conduct regular business reviews.
  13. Drive material strategies including PFEP and VMI, ensuring contract adherence.
  14. Review KPI performance, conduct regular team meetings, and recognize achievements.
  15. Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) for new tools and processes.
  16. Develop and implement SOPs and desk instructions.
  17. Represent the Director of Supply Chain in their absence.
  18. Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Operations, Inventory, Purchasing Management, or equivalent experience.
  • 5-10 years of planning/buying experience, preferably in electronics manufacturing.
  • Proficiency with Windows OS and related software.
  • Intermediate to advanced MS Office skills, especially Excel.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
  • ERP system experience in supply chain, including buying and inventory management.
  • Strong analytical, planning, and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership and people management skills.
  • Certification or enrollment in APICS or PMAC is preferred.
  • Experience with Lean Supply Chain principles is advantageous.
  • Industry experience in a multi-location, complex manufacturing environment.
  • A proactive, professional attitude with a willingness to learn and adapt.
  • An entrepreneurial spirit, thriving in autonomous, high-paced environments.
