Our client, a Top 5 Bank in Canada is looking to hire Procurement Lead to their team for an initial 14-month contract with a possibility of extension/conversion.

As the Senior Category Manager in Procurement, you'll manage end to end procurement activities focusing primarily on indirect spend categories to support Supplier Hosted (ASP and SaaS) Software as well as IT services.

Responsibilities:

  • This role works with Supplier Risk Stakeholders, Relationship Managers and Business Lead to ensure client's supplier management framework is implemented for medium to high risk or high spend supplier.
  • Develop trusted adviser relationships and provide valued consulting advice to facilitate management and completion of procurement initiatives that are aligned with business objectives.
  • Influence, negotiate, and liaise with all levels of stakeholders.
  • Manage contract drafting, negotiations, finalization, and approval processes. Ensure compliance with Procurement and Supplier Governance policies and process.
  • Take accountability for client issues and know when to collaborate with others to build better solutions.
  • Use effective self-management practices to manage multiple concurrent objectives, projects, groups, or activities, making effective judgments as to prioritizing and time allocation.

Must Have Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement and/or supplier processes, practices, tools and templates and principles of formal sourcing processes, and ability to apply to various categories / circumstances.
  • Experience drafting various contract schedules (e.g., Scope of Work, SLA, etc.) and have negotiated contractual terms and conditions.
  • Experience developing strategy and implementation plans to meet procurement objectives.
  • University Degree

  • Knowledge of IT Services based contracts

Nice to Have:

  • Knowledge of ASP, SaaS or Cloud would be an asset
  • COUPA experience
