Job summary

CAAT Pension is seeking a Processing Analyst to join the Member Services team, ensuring accurate member data, documentation review, and timely communications related to pension delivery.

The role focuses on processing enrolments, handling correspondence, and supporting pension administration transactions, with a customer-focused mindset and strong Excel skills. A post-secondary education and 1–3 years in financial services or pension administration are preferred.

  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and attention to detail.
  • Customer-focused mindset with ability to pivot.
  • Proficiency with Excel and technical aptitude.
  • Understanding of pension administration systems and applicable legislation is an asset.
  • CEBS or PPAC Certification is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Process and update member data, including demographic changes and personal information, ensuring accuracy in the pension administration system.
  • Support pension administration transactions, including enrolments, compliance activities, and leaves of absence.
  • Investigate and follow up on missing or inactive members using internal tools and coordinate escalations.
  • Receive, sort, and process incoming mail, documents, and cheques.
  • Review and validate incoming documentation for completeness and alignment with plan requirements.
  • Draft and send clear, professional correspondence to resolve documentation issues.
  • Respond to inquiries and collaborate with internal teams to ensure documents are collected, reviewed, and uploaded.
  • Assist in updating standard operating procedures and internal job aids as processes evolve.

About the Role:

We are seeking a Processing Analyst to join our Member Services team responsible for executing key operational tasks that support the integrity and efficiency of pension delivery. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring that member, employment, and personal information is accurate and complete, required documentation is received and reviewed, and communications are delivered in a timely and professional manner.

As the Newest Member of our Team, You’ll:
  • Process and update member data, including demographic changes, employment status, and personal information, ensuring accuracy and completeness in the pension administration system.
  • Support pension administration transactions, including enrolments, compliance activities, and leaves of absence.
  • Investigate and follow up on missing or inactive members using internal tools and available resources, coordinating escalations as needed.
  • Receive, sort, and process incoming mail, printed materials, folders, documents, and cheques.
  • Review and validate incoming documentation to ensure completeness, legibility, and alignment with plan requirements.
  • Draft and send clear, professional correspondence to members or third parties to resolve outstanding documentation issues, gather missing information, or clarify submissions.
  • Respond to inquiries and collaborate with internal teams to ensure required documents are collected, reviewed, and uploaded.
  • Assist in updating standard operating procedures and internal job aids as processes evolve.
To Succeed, You Bring:
  • Post secondary education in business administration, finance, or a related field.
  • 1-3 years of experience working within financial services, pension administration, public sector pension administration, or a related service environment.
  • Strong attention to detail, excellent analytical skills, time management skills, and a mathematical aptitude.
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and attention to detail.
  • A customer‑focused mindset and the ability to pivot.
  • Proficiency with Excel and a technical aptitude.
  • Understanding of pension administration systems, pension plan tests, and applicable legislation is considered an asset.
  • CEBS or PPAC Certification is considered an asset.

The target hiring salary for this position is $57,800.00-$68,000.00. Placement within our salary range will be based on factors such as internal equity, market conditions, and the candidate’s experience, skills, and qualifications relevant to the role.
