Job summary

Septodont Group is seeking a Process Engineer II / Process Specialist II for its Cambridge, Canada site. You will lead engineering projects, provide technical support to manufacturing, and drive continuous improvement in a highly regulated environment.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Engineering, 5+ years of experience in manufacturing, and familiarity with AutoCAD, MS Project, and MS Office. P.Eng. designation is preferred. Competitive benefits and starting salary around CAD 100k.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Engineering Science required.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment in regulated industries.
  • P.Eng. designation preferred; Lean manufacturing experience an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Lead engineering projects from specification through implementation and turnover.
  • Provide ongoing technical support to manufacturing and process operations.
  • Identify and implement process and equipment improvements to reduce downtime and waste.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives and support qualification/validation activities.
  • Review protocols and validation documentation; mentor engineers and technicians.

Candidates without a P.Eng. designation will be assigned the title **Process Specialist II**.## Job SummaryThe Process Engineer/ Process Specialist II is accountable for project execution and process system support across the organization. This role supports manufacturing operations, capital projects, process improvements, validation activities, and regulatory initiatives within a highly regulated environment. The successful candidate will provide technical expertise, lead engineering projects, drive continuous improvement, and ensure compliance with quality and regulatory requirements.## Responsibilities* Lead and manage engineering projects from specification through implementation and turnover.* Provide ongoing technical support to manufacturing and process operations.* Partner with internal stakeholders to understand and address technical service requirements.* Identify and implement process and equipment improvements to reduce downtime, improve efficiency, and minimize waste.* Lead continuous improvement initiatives.* Support equipment qualification, requalification, and validation activities.* Support new product introductions and relevant R&D initiatives.* Review and approve protocols, technical reports, and validation documentation.* Conduct technical investigations, analyze data, and provide recommendations based on findings.* Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineers, specialists, and technicians.* Develop commissioning and start-up documentation.* Create, revise, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).* Prepare and interpret process layouts, as-built drawings, and equipment schematics.* Maintain compliance with pharmaceutical quality, safety, and regulatory standards.## Job Requirements### Education* Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Engineering Science required.* Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering preferred.### Experience and Skills* Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably within pharmaceutical, food and beverage, consumer products, or other regulated industries.* Experience working in a Lean Manufacturing environment is considered an asset.* Professional Engineering (P.Eng.) designation is preferred.* Ability to read and interpret architectural, mechanical, electrical, and P&ID drawings and schematics.* Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.* Demonstrated initiative, accountability, problem-solving capability, and teamwork.* Proven ability to lead projects and take ownership of systems and initiatives.* Proficiency with AutoCAD, MS Project, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.* Understanding of PLCs and process equipment control systems.## What We Offer* Excellent compensation and benefits package* RRSP Program* Discounted gym memberships* Employee Assistance Program (EAP)* Corporate discounts and perks* Employee recognition programs* Social events and spirit daysStarting at approximately **$100,000 CAD**, with opportunity for increase based on qualifications and experience.
